Tails of the Himalayas...of Dogs & Devotees (2026)

"Millions of street dogs in India are stigmatized and abused, but one Himalayan town is turning compassion into action, led by Dog Devotees who find purpose in their lives by saving these dogs."

In a country where over 60 million street dogs roam, often ignored, abused, and abandoned, hope emerges in Dharamshala, a small town nestled among monasteries and mountains. Directed by Harpreet Kaur, Tails of the Himalayas... of Dogs and Devotees is a story of resilience, love, and compassion. It weaves together diverse yet interconnected narratives of everyday people who have dedicated their lives to rescuing street dogs in India. The documentary captures the transformative power of empathy and the courage to give a voice to the voiceless. It invites viewers to reflect on how acts of selfless service can lead to creating a world where compassion overcomes cruelty, and the bond between dogs and humans thrives in mutual respect and care.
